Fellowship Meal (formerly Tailgate Ministries)
3-6:30
pm, Tuesday, Aug. 24 (Fourth Tuesday of each month) at the Salvation Army, 2525 Rucker Ave., Everett
Holy Cross is very excited about this ministry. It’s very rewarding
to know that Holy Cross has touched the lives of 140-150 people at each meal. All are encouraged to help in whatever
way you are able in support of this ministry: providing food for the meal, assisting on serving day, providing sandwiches
or cookies, and in offering prayers for those who serve and those being served. If you
would like to help prepare the meal, serve, or assist with clean-up, please sign up at church or call the office at 425-334-6817.

August Benevolence
Holy Cross will again support a Back-to-School Backpack
and School Supplies Drive for the Lake Stevens Family Center with supplies to be given to children from low-income families.
Needed items include: Backpacks, Pencils, Erasers, Black, blue & red pens, Markers, Crayons, Lined notebook paper,
Colored pencils, glue sticks, Spiral notebooks, Highlighters, Glue, 3-Ring binders, Rulers , Scissors, pee-chee folders, Calculators,
Protractors, Bound composition notebooks, Compasses, Graph paper
Place items in the appropriate box in the narthex.
Many lower income families are
not able to purchase the supplies their children need to do their schoolwork, which causes the children to fall behind and
struggle in school. By providing some of the essential supplies needed, Holy Cross can help children be more successful
in the classroom, encourage them to stay in school, and give them hope for a better future.
Holy Crafters ~
This group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 1 pm - 3 pm. They can use donations of fabric, sheets
and embroidery floss. A box is in the narthex to accept these items.
Food Bank Donations
Needs are greater than ever at local food banks, and all donations are greatly appreciated. The Lake Stevens Food
Bank can also use donations of paper and plastic grocery bags and one dozen-size egg cartons. If you’re planting
your gardens, why not plant an extra row of veggies to donate to those in need!
Looking for something to do this summer?
The Lake Stevens Food Bank
is in dire need of volunteer drivers and helpers on Monday mornings. They have a van and need someone to pick up food
donations from local grocers and deliver it to the Food Bank. Must possess a valid driver’s license. If
interested, call the Food Bank at 425-334-3430.
